Description

This CACHE Level 1 is an ideal way to kick start your career working with very young children and is suitable for learners with minimal or no experience in the field. This introductory course is delivered over a matter of weeks; completing it will give you a basic understanding of how childcare is provided in settings.

What can I do next/once qualified?

Many of our learners have secured paid or voluntary work in pre-schools, nurseries, children’s centres or lower school reception classes.

Course Delivery & Assessment

To successfully complete the course you'll need to attend all the taught sessions. Your tutor will set short written tasks for you to complete following each session.

Some e-learning is also set, so access to a laptop or computer is highly recommended - if you don't have your own maybe your local library can help.

Towards the end of the course you'll receive some information and advice about future training and career options.

Description

This is a great opportunity to help kick start your career in the adult social care sector and is suitable for learners with minimal or no experience in the field. On completion of the award you will have a basic understanding of the type of job roles and services available, understand the benefits of good communication and recognise the importance of valuing the individuals being cared for.

What can I do next/once qualified?

Once you've achieved the Award you'll be able to apply for adult care worker posts with confidence - perhaps in a care home or domiciliary care.
