About us

The Academy was established in 2014, with the purpose of bringing together recruitment, retention, training and qualifications.

Prior to enrolling on a qualification, all learners are offered an advice and guidance discussion to establish needs and aspirations and ensure the chosen pathway is the most suitable. Once on programme learners are allocated a dedicated assessor, who will support all aspects of their learning journey.

The Academy is now a well established, efficient and effective training centre, with a great reputation!

We offer a flexible learning environment with a range of face to face courses, e-learning and workplace based qualifications. Our learners can complete training whether they are employed or volunteering in an appropriate job role.

Our Academy offers:

- A range of information, advice and guidance for all those working or considering a career in childcare, social care or administration. This includes support to access appropriate education and training, development of existing skills, and increased career prospects

- A practice unit for newly qualified social workers and students, offering dedicated support for those at an early stage in their careers

- A strong research and evidenced based approach to professional practice that explores and tests new ideas that work and deliver outcomes for children, young people and families

- An extensive and well-resourced continuous professional development programme, including access to a range of qualifications delivered through NCFE/CACHE, City & Guilds and Laser Learning.
